? about the XLR audio inputs

I don't have a way currently to test it but do they serve as an output as well ?
I can't find a switch or another XLR output. How do you get a balanced audio signal out?

I see on the side of the camera an unbalanced audio out but can't figure out how you get a balanced XLR audio output.
 
No. The XLRs are only inputs. The only audio outputs on an HPX300 are:
1) embedded audio in the SDI signal
2) embedded audio in the firewire signal
3) RCA jacks

Ok, then I think I've got a big problem. I need to transmit over an analog fiber line and I believe you can't use an SDI signal over an analog line.

do you know?
 
No problem. I've fed out of my 300 to analogue fiber several times. just adapt the RCAs to XLRs. It's not balanced, but unless you have a long run it should be fine.
 
Thanks, i just had a friend suggest that solutions as well. i'm on my way to Radio shack to find the necessary turnarounds.
