About the Thread "The Best High-Budget NLE System!!"

Hi,

I started that thread (http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=157372) weeks ago to help me choose the best NLE system for me, and many people contributed with the best information they can give, and I appreciate that very much.

Today, I discovered that my thread was closed because the subject got a little "too hot", and went out of control, or sort of. I just wanted to comment that we are all friends, and I am sure everyone want to help in his own way. So, no matter how badly we disagree with each other, we should respect each other's opinion.

Even though most people disagreed with Grinner's opion in a hard way, I still think he is entitled to say what he believes in. That dose not mean that I agree with his opinion 100%, but I still think he provided a valid points in some areas, and I am sure he was trying to help, just like every one on that thread.

Anyway, I thank everyone tried to help me, especially grinner, Jim2000, milksac, Butcher, mediamajic, Joe Digital, triple96, Eric Papa, Alexg, ChipG, mcgeedigital, Rockman X3, jjytan, xmephestox, DC, El Gato Negro, Christian m, and anyone I forgot to mention.

Kind regards,
Aboammar

hey before you write that check, look in the for sale section of the forum.
There is a used Avid in there for pennies on the dollar.

Thanks, but I prefer to buy a brand new unit of anything if it is affordable to me, and I can afford a new full-turnkey Avid MC Nitrus DX system. :)

I hope you will be happy with your decision. I admit in 1997 Avid was by far the best option but times have indeed changed. I used to be caught up in the realtime performance but the more I edit the more I realize the ease of the overal work flow is what matters most not the amount of RT horse power.

Good luck with your choice. I have been using Avid Xpress pro and MC software only and my Mojo is covered in dust as it is SD only and I have had no problem because I have never needed 2k output. Sony EX1 & EX3 and Panny HVX and HPX series.
Avid rocks!
