Hi everyone!
My name is Piero, I've been around in the forum for quite a while (most of the time reading, I'm not so experienced to give advices :))

I'm one of the organizers of Kino Kabaret Napoli, Italy, part of the kino movement around the world.

I'm writing this post to reach out to all people that do not know about kino kabarets. I won't bother you with a very long post, you can check out what is all about here: http://www.kinonapoli.it/about-2/kino

In short a kino kabaret is an event that lasts usually a week, where film makers from all over the world meet to shoot movies in sessions of two three days, to screen them in the evening.
It's one of the greatest experiences I've ever done, and my main goal is to reach out to as many people as I can

Here's also our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/KinoNapoli

And here's a list of all the kabarets happening in Europe: http://kinoberlino.tumblr.com/kinokalender

If you have any questions and want to know more please feel free to ask, also sorry for my english, I know is not the best but I hope I was clear in the explanation.

Cheers!

There have been some in the past, I met someone from Ireland, Belfast, London in the few kabarets I've done.

The thing is that a kabaret is a totally spontaneous thing, usually the participants are hosted for free by the hosts of the kabaret, and for usually 40/50€ you live and eat for a week. The reason is that we'd like to make the kabaret a non-elite thing so anyone can partecipate.

If you want to organize one the best thing would be to take part in one across europe, to see what is like, and then try to build a cell in your hometown.
There have been kabarets organized in a bedroom of 30 square meters, and they were fun as hell!
