My setting in VCR mode on the camera for DV Out is off, however when I hook my firewire up to the camera I am able to output my footage to my computer. Does the firewire over ride the DV Out setting on the camera? I always that that I had to select it in order to get video out of the camera OR is this only for hooking the camera up to a VCR or TV set? I don't have a problem with this, I was just curious thats all.
