Hey guys
I am a newbie in this place and got my DVX100A last month,I am looking for a wide angle adapter for it ,I was told that the century .7* wide angle is a good idea for the DVX,but its list price is above 900USD :crybaby: ,I saw a old one in ebay store about 400USD , and a century .7*wide angle adapter for CANON XL_2 is about 200USD,they are looks very like each other:love4: ,I do not know why the price of the wide angle adapter for DVX is too higher than it for CANON XL_2, Is there any one knows that if the wide angle canon can be used for my DVX100A?

oH my GOD my limited English !

Thanks a lot !

Can someone tell me how the Bayonet Mount works? I have a protective filter over the lens right now - would this interfer with these mentioned lens? I'd love to be able to quick change to a wide angle without threading on and off lenses.

Thanks
Mike

PixelWrangler, the following link to our website describes mounting a bayonet fisheye. The bayonets all work essentially the same way, so this will give you a good idea.

You will need to remove the screw-in filter before you can attach the Century bayonet mounted accessory.

Overlord,

Optically the Century .7X Wide Converter for the Canon XL cameras is the same as the one for the DVX100. The bayonets on the lenses are different so the bayonet mounting mechanism would have to be changed.

Parts and labor would run approx $175 US plus shipping both directions. If you can buy a new one for less than $700 US that would probably be better than a used one for $400 plus the conversion cost.

Do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions.

I'll just say that dealing with century was nothing but a positive experience. I scratched the front of a .3x lens I had and had to send it in to get replaced. Had it back in a week, better than ever and Im not sure who i talked to, maybe bill, but super nice guy, talked to me for a good 20 minutes about different death lenses, so yeah, if you need to send something to these guys, nothing to worry about!
