After looking at so many rigs i have seen the handy man 1000c can any one tell me if it flyes well with the hvx200 i will be using the cineporter with it too.

I have seen that it has one of the quickest release to switch it to a tripod which I realy require, as im not going to shoot with the handyman for along time.

It also handles a decent amount of weight compare to the glide cam4000 and steadycam merlin. Handyman also seen easy to set up.

please help, thanx

I really don't like Handyman rigs. They miss a lot of key points in their desisnges. They look ok, but that's about it.

You won't be able to fly the HVX with Cineporter on any Handheld rig properly, it's just too heavy. You need to look into something with an arm.

But mikko i have seen the 1000c to be able to handle the hvx and cineporters weight, as they say how much weight it can handle.

bear in mind I will also fly it for a maximum of 10munite to 20 minute.

the thing i like about this is it can easyly be swapped to a tripod when ever I want.

PLEASE MIKKO give me a solution!!!!!!

Have a look at the MultiRig Stabilizer.

If a dual grip device is good for you then you can attach your camera plate to it
and slide the whole thing to your tripod head in seconds. the MultiRig Stabilizer Plus is even better since you are supported by a spring loaded pod.

It is not a gimbaled stabilizer system but it works very well same as the fig rig wheel.

10 to 20 minutes is a very long time for holding a hand held stabilizer with a heavy HVX and cineporter its a very heavy setup.

Hope Mikko will not kill me...

dose this fly like a stabilizer?

It will fly like a dual grip stabilizer. Never like a full arm and vest system.

To learn more about the differences, search for "fig rig" posts.

do you think this will produce the same result as the glidecam 4000 hand held?

No it won't.
If you want Steadicam type shots, get a Steadicam type rig.
Not really sure I'd even call what Danny's rig does "flying".

Sure the Handman 1000c can hold a HVX & Cineporter - but you can't. Not even for 30sec.

For that set up you will need a system with a vest and an arm.
How much money do you have to spend? and how often do you need that type of shots?
