A7SII with Fotodiox canon to nex auto not changing aperture

Do you guys know how to solve this issue? I cant change the aperture by it self in manual movie mode. I have to go to aperture priority or shutter priority to have the aperture change by changing the shutter. I am using the dial to turn left and right but the aperture is not changing. PLease help. Thanks

Its stuck 5.6 aperture

Is it a chipped adapter? If so, may have to unmount, remount, reboot, Etc.
