When I had too use an A7Sii recently in Slog 2, I read in numerous places to over expose 2 stops . I figured that was because you couldn't just rate the ISO 2 steps lower like you could say with an FS7. However I realized after a while that a lot of those suggestions on the Web were written when the camera wouldn't allow an ISO setting lower than 2000ISO. Then there was an update an you could go to ISO 1000.
So what's the general recommendation for exposure these days overexpose one stop or 2?
A related question is how you guys feel about just shooting in Cine 4 instead of bothering with Slog2 at all. Do you still have a lot of room to color correct and decent exposure attitude? I've heard its close to Slog. I found shooting in Slog 2 on that camera be a PITA ( 2 stops over was a royal pain and lousy in low light) and I'm not crazy about 8 bit.
Thanks Lenny
