A7S with external monitor issue

I'm have problems with my A7S and my smallhd a7 monitor. The picture is coming through, but it's only using 1/2 the screen for the picture (about the same size as the LCD on the actual camera) and the rest for the cameras display icons. Not sure how to make it match the screen so it's full size. Any tips appreciated

i got the same problem with the dp6, i guess it s an issue with smallhd

Found an easier way to fix my problem, in the A7S menu select "HDMI Settings" then select "HDMI info display" to off. This will allow the A7S to still display its screen with the camera settings, whilst a clean feed is sent to the external monitor with full view.

Is there a way to keep the LCD on while sending a signal to an external monitor? I can't find that setting in the HDMI menu.

See your other thread...go to HDMI Settings > HDMI Display Info and turn that OFF.

I need to be able to do the opposite actually. I can't figure out how to display the video info (ISO, f stop) on the external monitor. I'm filming myself and I need to know what my settings are as I adjust the camera. Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks in advance.
