A7S V-Mount?

Hi guys, I am tempted by the A7S but I'm wondering just how well it'll sit on my existing shoulder rig. The biggest question I have which the specs don't seem to answer is: does this camera support DC Power Input so that I may use it with my V-Mount battery?
 
As long as your plate reduces the voltage to 7.4 it should be fine, don't give it 14.8v, standard brick voltage. So the same plate used for FS700 should be fine. The IDX also has switchable 5v (USB power) on one of the D-taps.

Check the manual first to make sure 7.4 is right, I am quoting from memory.
 
The A7S batteries are 7.4v, so if you use a dummy battery to DC power input adapter, you should give the camera 7.4v. However, doesn't the USB port on the A7S take in 5v?

Are you sure about that? I tried shooting while charging through USB and it didn't work. It goes into USB mode when plugged in.
 
It seems the USB will only charge the battery, not run the camera.

I will be 3D printing a "dummy battery" and run tests with my IDX and AB plates, it should work OK, I will post photos and report here soon.

I am working on a comprehensive kit for the A7s. MY early tests of the camera has me very impressed. This weekend I hope to start work on PPs and the kit. One of my first impressions it that the view finder is really very usable. I like the idea of using it instead of a Alphatron or similar, I have not noticed any lag at all, a problem with external monitoring.
