A7s Time Lapse

Just downloaded the time lapse app for my A7s and while it was a chore, I was successful...I think.
Now I can seem to locate where the files reside nor am I sure I am in the right mode.
I don't want to have to knit together stills for my TL's. I though I could just go to Movie mode, set my parameters and fire away. That's seems to be happening but I can find the video files.
What am I doing wrong here?

Also...must one always be near Wifi or a hot spot in order to call up and use the app?

Yes it works well but you are missing much if you rely on the camera to process TL in camera. Use stills and set the camera to raw. It is so easy to prepare in After Effects and have the benefits of a raw image. Also you can pan or push in or whatever camera move you want, again all in AE.

I am not sure what you mean about wifi. You download the app from the Sony website and transfer it to the camera. It is then available to you in the Application menu. Interestingly I put it on my A7ii as well for no extra charge.

In the app you can tell it to either do Stills or stitch together the timelapse. or you can have both. The app stores the videos in a random place but you can find it at SD CARD > Private > Sony > App_Sync
And there you should find your AVI timelapse files. If you decide to do stills too they should store in their normal DCIM directory.

Also no, you do not have to be connected to the internet or wifi to use the app.
