a7s strange purple edge with body cap on. blackshade?

hey i saw some weird purple fridging on the left edge of the image at 409,600 iso. first i thought it was the LCD then i thought it was a light leak. then i took it into a dark room with the body cap on.i also looked at the footage and its there also just with out the grid. is there anything i can do? black shade or something?

That's amp glow, it happens on every A7s (I believe?). Under real world shooting conditions it's rarely a problem, but it's just a result of going so high in the ISO. Certainly worried me when I first saw it on the screen though too. I can actually spot it at some medium level ISO's too (still high ISO's compared to previous cameras) but so far no one else has pointed it out in my photos. Sometimes I might reduce the purple levels in Lightroom a bit, depending on the scene.

In short, nothing to worry about. It'd be nice if it didn't happen, but it comes with bleeding edge ISO levels (literally bleeding purple at the edges).
