A7S: Sony A7s artifacts

Just started playing with A7s on a Ronin and noticing some weird jumps on images. I would assume this is rolling shutter but I've never seen it before. It seems like the Vimeo compression might mask it but you can see it on the corners of the chair cushion. You could download to see what I'm talking about.

The settings were Kholi's S-Log profile at 30p XAVC-S. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using an image stabilized lens? I've noticed when you're using IS lenses designed primarily for photography they'll often introduce jumps in the image on smooth movement - the lens basically tries to compensate for the motion, hits the limit of it's range, then snaps back to the center. That's why some lenses have a panning mode - it basically disables stabilization for the horizontal plane. If you are using an IS lens you should turn it off when you're using it on something like the ronin.

That was totally the issue- good call! I was using a Canon 24mm IS lens. When I tested with 16-35 II it didn't show up. Thanks!
