A7s Shutter/Banding issue?

Getting an issue in when i close up the aperture or bring up the shutter speed. Seeing what appears to be three lines/banding across the image.
I was guessing this may have do with the light frequency in the room. Wondering if anyone else is have this issue

Use shutter speed of 1/60 and you will be good

Depends on the light source. CFL, LED, magnetic ballast HMI? Need more intel.

Cool yeah the slower the shutter speed, it goes away. Notice this was showing up on my t2i at the same ss and aperture, focal length

These were incandescent bulbs, also happens on light emitted from the tv

I would test this by isolating your lighting.

Repeat this exercise with the TV off and note your frame rate and shutter speed. Also, start with the lights at 100% with no in-line dimmers.

Current TVs indeed use pulsed LEDs as backlight - comes out horrid with short exposure times. If any significant portion of light comes from one in a scene it will ruin the shot. How bad it looks depends on shutter speed of course.
