a7s saturation/White balance color adjustment question

(the big boys have the "proper" slog and sgamut versions, the a7S has a botched sgamut and the a7S II has a limited version of slog3; there's not much to learn about the FS7 and FS5 by looking at the a7 series, if you ask me; never laid a hand on the FS7 or FS5, though, I'm just assuming they are free from these kind of issues)
Did Sony cripple slog3 for the mirrorless cams like Panasonic did with their Vlog-L?

i had high hopes for your profile. i had exact settings. checked it after my jaw dropped when i saw that hole. non sony lenses. i film on nikon 2.8 zooms or m42.
I can't replicate this and your footage looks a lot different from mine, but I'm still inspecting.
It might take the right combination of focus and f stop for depth of field. Thanks for finding this.
In the mean time, don't point your camera at the sun : p

Anyone else have this issue?

Well, I don't know if it's crippled the same way as Panasonic with their Vlog-L, but on the a7S II slog3 doesn't have any more DR than slog2 and that's just wrong (it clips the highlights way before reaching IRE 100%, at the same actual illumination that makes slog2 go 100%).

I shot this using these settings (it's a test edit that I uploaded without any further work in post, so the talent could see themselves being awesomely beautiful; you can see a few shots in which I failed to overexpose by a stop as I usually do, and they look a lot worse).
If anybody's interested, this is the almost-finished version of that piece.
(yes, I know the background tracking won't fool anyone, they're supposed to be inside a videogame so it doesn't bother me too much)

Ignacy, try these settings. I'd be interested to know your results:

Hey Totolo, I finally found time to test out your setting. I had to wait for the weather to change here in Warsaw, Poland... Anyway, on first inspection your profile seems very similar to Picture Profile 4.
The Green looks identical in both profiles. In other words, it's the closest to what I'm seeing with my eyes but still more yellow than it should be. Obviously this can be adjusted in post. I'll test it out some more.

For now my usage of the Picture Profiles is as such:

Picture Profile 2 or Kholi Cine 2 mod for Cloudy days and low light scenarios.
Picture Profile 4 (and/or possibly your Totolo profile after more testing) for sunny days.
S-Log for special contrasty scenarios.
When I don't have time to do post production (cc and sharpening) I use the Creative Style neutral or Autumn Leaves depending on the look I want (Generally cloudy vs sunny), either at -3 / +3 /-3.
