A7s Photo mode is noiser than video mode

i found that A7s in photo mode is much more noiser than video mode in high iso. Is it normal? or did i miss anything? i found that they are really big difference, in photo mode it is scary noisy in low light. Is it because the video mode had a lot noise reduction with it but not in photo mode

Did you compare 12 Mpìx photos at 100% with 2Mpix frame grabs?

I thought the same thing too at first. In actuality I believe the hdmi output and on camera display vary between the movie and still mode.

Also note that when taking photos always shoot in raw. The sony does a terrible job at compressing jpgs internally. Shoot a still at 10,000iso and compare the raw to jpg to see what I'm talking about.
