Hey guys, I never really noticed this until today when I was doing some low light testing. Im not sure what it is!?! I recently did the firmware update a few days ago but to be honest I haven't really done alot of low light shots so It could've been a preexisting issue.

My settings: XAVC S, 24p 50 shutter speed @f4. This was shotat 32,000 iso but is visable starting anywhere fr 12-16000 iso. I shot with with native glass (55mm 1.8) but also had very similar results with adapted canon lenses.
I noticed it happens with all Picture profiles other than Slog2 (PP7).

It only happens with a flickering candle, doesn't seem to happen with other light sources.

Can anyone explain what this is and if its normal?

I can upload a video if need be.

What are we looking at exactly? And what's the difference between the three images? Is it the odd rectangular patterns on either side of the candle and can?

One thing to consider is that SLOG2 is running your gain about 1.5-2.5stops under all the other picture profiles at the same ISO setting, so any ISO related artifacting will probably be there in SLOG2 if you increase your ISO about 2 stops depending what other gamma curve you are comparing it to.
