A7s + Metabones Mark IV + Canon 24-105 Problems

*Running latest metabones and Sony firmware
*All lenses below work flawlessly on all Canon DSLR's I've used.

I have an A7s with Metabones Mark IV adapter and the following Canon Lenses:
70-200 2.8L IS II
24-105 4L IS
50 1.4
28 2.8 IS

Problems:
With the 24-105, while I zoom and or focus the image will "jump" and "flicker" and eventually will lose connection with the camera via the aperture reading turning to "F-" instead of "F8" etc. This effect is lessened when I shoot without IS mode but not nonexistent. This renders the 24-105 completely useless to me on event shoots as it will destroy a shot and require a re-seating of the adapter and/or lens to temporarily remedy.

Technically, we think the lens itself is being twisted counter-clockwise which is causing this issue, which is prevalent during zooming.

The issue persists with the 70-200 as well, but maybe 20% of the rate of occurrence as with the 24-105. I rented a 16-35 and the issue was present at times but not as much as with the 24-105, and I recall it occurring on a 24-70 I borrowed as well. The lighter 50 and 28 primes seem to work fine.
Is this a faulty metabones adapter, bad sony mount, or is this just the imperfections of using heavy canon lenses on a light Sony body? Anyone else experiencing it? Should I try to return it?

Please let me know, this is driving me nuts and effecting my abilities in the field. I love the image but hate this, and I can't commit to full Sony gear as I use a 5D mark III and 60D.

Thanks!

It's a loose connection between the pins on the adapter and the contacts on the lens. Just a physical mismatch / manufacturing tolerance issue and unfortunately the Metabones adapters are not built to the highest standards in this regard. Also try cleaning the lens contacts.

Unfortunately it is very much a known issue and it is unclear if this is ever going to be fixed.

Some people who got tired of these problems simply switched to the 28-135mm f4 Sony lens.
