A7S II --> stuttery footage when exported

Hi there,

I recently shot an image film with the A7S II. Everything was fine except the two
shot that were made at ISO 5000 or ISO 6400. While they are perfectly fine
in Premiere, once they are exported (to mp4 or .mov) they stutter like hell when
playing back the final clip...

Has anybody else had this problem?

We shot slog 3 @ 25fps @ UHD

Thanks for the help....

Cheers

Odd that the problem is not visible in Premier.

Two questions:

1. What was the shutter speed of those two shots?
2. Does the stuttering happen on multiple computers?

In addition to shutter speed, also check the frame rate of the actual Premiere Pro sequence. Sometimes pulling 60fps footage in, PP automatically creates a 60fps sequence. Might screw up some 24p footage, not sure. I've had mismatched frame rates cause stuttering and that sort of thing.

I think you have a playback issue, the file is probably fine. Convert it to H.264 .mkv using handbrake and see if that still gives you trouble (I had playback issues as well, and ended up solving them by doing what are pirates were doing).
