Hi,
Does someone have the Distagon 24mm (with a-mount to e-mount adaptor) on her/his a7s ii. I'm considering this lens and would be happy to learn from your experience. How does it work with video, 1080P and 4K?
So...wide angle lens...Well, in general I would have preferred to go with native e-mount lenses, but I don't like the two other options: Loxia 21mm (it has a de-clicked aperture, a great feature, but the focus and aperture ring are too close for me to handle quickly). The Batis 25mm is nice but I don't like the rubber ring for focus. As you can understand, I'm looking for a wide angle lens for video on a7s ii. Would appreciate any comment here.
Thanks!

Hi dia3olik,
Thanks - will check the sigma (canon out of my budget).
Is there an adapter with de-clicked aperture ring? Would be great to have such a feature

been playing with a Rokinon 24mm 1.5 plays nice on the A7sII

+1 on the Rokinon 24 1.5. That is a great lens. Ended up grabbing 24 thru 85 and smaller the 2.2 I've got nothing bad to say about them. Using the metabones since I still have several canon bodies and want to use across the line.

Test the loxia before you dismiss it. I switched from the 1DC with Canon L Primes to an A7s2 Loxia setup and I couldnt be happier. Took me a few days but now I cant imagine to go back. I am a big guy (194cm) with big hands. Esp. the 21 is such a great lens. I schlepped around the 15mm 2.8 Zeiss with the 1DC before and it was a marvelous setup, but the loxia with the A7s2 is VERY near and less than a third in weight.

I love the idea of Loxia's. I will have to test them out.

the concept is great. For most things the 21,35 and 50 are enough and they´re weight is the same as one of my former Canon primes.
Focus ring is butter smooth and I only need one ND as all have the same filter Thread.

Right you are! That sounds awesome. Plus, i saw that the iris is de-clickable?

Wonderful! That remedies most of my issues with stills lenses. I like working with lighter smaller lens that have shorter focus rotation. So, with all of the benefits of the Loxia's, i may become a Sony owner. Any other mirroless cameras out there worth shooting video with? The A7s2 is pretty good. Better than anything else currently. Where it falls short of the 1DC, it has other aspects that make it better. Bmc?

Rokinon lenses are pretty good, but they do have an achilles heel, and that is when it is wide open, it cannot handle ultra high contrast spectral highlights well. Other than that, they are great for the price. To be honest, 8bit cameras aren't too good at that kind of light either, so, kind of a wash.
