A7S for stills/video hybrid?

Sure, you're gonna hear that the "color science" is bad. Nonsense! I've matched my Gh4 with the BMC4K, C100, A7s, 5Dmk3, AX100 and more. I see the keyword "playing soccer" and "MMA fighter" and I think fast AF system. Sony A7,A7s, A7r is not the camera. And I own the A7s and A7r.

When I used the A7S briefly for stills after the A7R, I noticed that the A7S raw files had more muted colors and were also a bit greener (in Lightroom) at any given WB setting. It's kinda nice, vintage-y. I wonder if Sony did in fact tweak the "color science" of the A7S. Have you noticed this?

The peoples are talking to much about rolling shutter. In my world this issue is taking probably 1% of all shots. One can be well-prepared to avoid parts of this problem . I own an A7r as well and its a very, very good still camera except the shutter noise, that is terrible.
The A7s is not a very good still camera in the sense of resolution, but it is a very good still camera in other respects. The first is of course the low light Quality: Ten years ago, we dreamt of such possibilities!! And the second for me is the absolut noiseless shutter! An old Leica is loud compared with the A7s. When I work in my old passion - streetphotogrphie, its amazing. Ok, even with this camera you need to rework the pictures - a little noise correction from 10000 ISO upwards. When I am abroad, I use both cameras the A7r and the A7s. The 7r is a pixel monster, I enlarged files up to 2m x 3m and its looking great. At least one word to the videoquality of the 7s - the XAVC-s is visible better than the AVCHD of the 7r. There are no worlds between, but XAVC-s is simply better. I never worked with 4K til now, so I cant say anything about that.

I finally got a chance to take a look at some of the photos I took with the a7s. While I love the full frame feel (this is my first full frame DSLR) I feel like the images lack the punch that my trust ole 7D can deliver. Now this could be because I haven't found the right formula yet for stills. Video wise I love the image especially with good glass, it has a high end feel to it.

Seriously like i said above i think sony did in fact make the colors more muted on the s, less contrast out of box even in raw. Maybe lacking punch, but steve huff and others have found that the files have a "medium format" look. Talking about same thing i suspect.

Thanks for all the responses, guys. Still not sure what to do. I like the A7s, and I want to like it enough to buy it, but I'm having trouble justifying it.

Also just found out the A7s has that stupid < 30 min recording limit. That's super annoying.
Back when I was shooting on a Canon, as soon as I heard the Panasonics didn't have that limit, I jumped ship. I sort of hate the idea that I'd be gaining that limitation again. 29min is still better than the 12-15 Canon used to have, but I can leave my GH camera to capture a 2 hour concert with a large enough SD card. I used to have a DSLR and camcorder, but the Lumix cameras can easily be a proper camcorder replacement. The Sony is a step forward in many departments (IQ, low light, codec, FF, etc), but a step backward in camcorder-replacement.

Getting back to lenses for a moment- I know the metabones adapters aren't great at auto-focus with EOS glass, but can it be used for the occasionally photography gig? Like, throw a decent 2.8 L zoom on it and just be a little more patient for focus? Or will it just fail and miss focus completely? I've heard a lot of complaints about the AF using the adapter, but I'm not clear on whether it just isn't as good as a native lens, or if it really truly is unusable for a job. I've used manual focus cinema glass to photograph a moving subject before. I'm not spoiled by native EOS glass on a native EOS body, so perhaps it would still be somewhat of an improvement?
