No. Even if you don't have ads enabled, the default is that the video gets ads, and the money goes to the copyright holder of the music. But if they think that's not enough, they can block it.
Beautifully shot video, the kids are fantastic even your song was good. As far as the other guys go they should hire you and brand the girls for their song too, which I enjoyed as well with the video. You got a nice credit, Congrats.
Experiences like yours are why I always watermark my work. Sometimes it's subtle and sometimes it's more noticeable, but it's always there. Just set up a regular title, pick a color that will blend in with most of the stuff that will be in the bottom of the screen (or wherever you put it), and crank the transparency down to somewhere between 15% and 7%, depending. Then stretch the title the entire length of the video.
Another good ploy I've seen is to put up unobtrusive signs in each scene that seem to be just part of the scenery, but when you look close they have copyright and author info on them. I know one kayaker who has a strip with that info sewn into both the front and back of his PFD, to help keep people from ripping off the videos he shoots of himself with action cameras..
@Tim: maybe you shot this ad twitter just showed me? It reminded me a lot to a couple of your videos (except for the color grading, which is completely different) https://twitter.com/hmespana/status/768448032283070466
