A7s Card Failure

We just got the A7s at work and I used it at an event this past weekend to get familiar with it before heading overseas. Initially, I was using a 64GB Sony card that came with the camera. On the first night, I suddenly got an error that the card was out of space. I went to preview my videos on the camera and it said the card was empty and that no clips existed. I shut the camera off and five minutes later turned it back on "just to see". Everything was back to normal now. Scared it might be a bad card, I then rolled with a Lexar Platinum II 64 GB SDXC 200x Class 10. Again, I had the same issue, and it only happened once per night. I was shooting in XAVC-S. If the card was unable to handle that codec, I'd expect some sort of write errors, but not for the card to suddenly be "full" and yet now show any clips on it. Any ideas what's going on?

Two questions: are you formatting the cards in-camera before use? Do you have another body to test in?

I use the Lexar cards with no problem,so unless you're somehow damaging the cards (unlikely), you may have gotten a bum camera.
