Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you would happen to know why it is that when I am shooting 120fps on my A7s, the video ends up being slightly choppy-ish (or at least feels that way, as in not 100% smooth).

My settings are:

720p @ 120fps
Doubled up shutter speed @ 250
24-105L @ f/4

If someone could help me with this, that would be awesome. I am hoping it is something obvious. Btw the video looks slightly choppy even before interpreting the footage inside of premiere, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Once I interpret the footage to 23.976 in premiere the only choppiness i see is in some of the handheld camera movement. otherwise, most of the motion in the shot of trees and the bird seems to be pretty smooth.
Are you using Canon or Sony lenses with Image Stabilization on?

Both clips looked fine to me. Buttery smooth even when played back at 120fps.

Well thanks guys! Yeah it does seem like the "choppiness" is happening whenever I shake/move the camera. It's just that it was never even this much prominent when shooting slo-mo with my old 5D3. I guess you just have to keep the a7s more stable at all times?

@Kin869, that's awesome to hear! But I would love to know what program you are watching them on cause VLC is just making them look awful. Choppy, choppy, choppy!!

If you're on Windows, then I highly recommend Media Player Classic
