I havê been testing these but still have not been able to get it to work. I get strange croped green image. If i switch the HDMI to 1080i it turns normal, but I don't want to shoot in 1080i.
What can I do?

As noted in the manual, the HDMI input of the Odyssey7 is hardware-limited to 1080p30 or 1080i60.

There is a $60 HDMI to SDI converter available on Amazon that will allow the 1080p60 signal to convert to SDI, which the Odyssey7 will accept and record.

Hi Mitch

I tried using the átomos converter and it does not work. Could you tell me the name of the other converter and if it works with DC power?

Here's the one I was referring to. I've seen it with different brand names but it is the same device. It does 1080p50 & 1080p60 with no issue. I own one myself.

It is rated to run off DC power from 5-12v.
