a7RII with LA-EA2 Movie Mode Shutter Speed

Hey folks,

Just received the a7RII, seems very good. I was trying out my SAL 16-50 2.8 with the LA-EA2 adapter. I'm able to control the shutter speed, etc just fine in photo modes. Except when i record a movie clip, the shutter speed does not stay at 50 where i had it set. For some reason, the shutter speed goes in to auto mode, and shoots way up to 200-400. Happens in video mode, or Manual. I can't seem to control it while shooting video.

I understand with AF on, it locks at f3.5 just like on the FS700. Never had the shutter speed go all over the place though.

Anyone run in to this, or have any ideas?
 
Have you tried it with the LAEA3? That's the adapter supported by the A7rII, my guess it will solve your problems. I rented that lens with the laea3 and had no issues.
