a7/r/s cage?

Here you go. Also shot of other side where it seems that since the newsshooter pre-production review they have also made a little cutout for the right side strap attachment point. Certainly I had no issues getting my strap on there without needing an add-on bolt the side strap product.

I've been using the movcam cage for a few months and it's been great.

Here's a few different configurations i've done with it.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. Is it a big deal to take the camera out of the movcam cage? I'll need to take it out of the cage to shoot stills.

Check out the Cage I make:

Light and balanced!
A complete kit for the Sony A7S. You may order just the cage, or the kit with shoulder brace and a battery plate. You may mount the Odyssey 7Q on this kit with the addition of our Odyssey back mount piece.
The wooden handle is comfortable to hold and all buttons and connections are easily accessed.
This kit works with any quick release system and we are adding the Acra Swiss quick release. The 15mm kit comes off with a Swiss Arca style release in seconds and snaps onto your tripod with our Swiss Arca mount.
We are adding a Metabones support and 15mm rails to this kit, available in May.
The dummy battery connector to the camera is included when you buy the battery plate. A battery is not included.

It can be ordered here:

Hey - what's the hand strap that you're using on there?

Can you also take a closer image of the locking mechanism and how it's working with the ports? Not quite happy with the LockPort that i've received.

Thanks!

I just shot a feature using Hot Rod Camera's a7s cage.
Admittedly I'm friends with Illya Friedman who owns HRC, but I wouldn't pimp his gear if it sucked and caused me aggravation and pain.
It survived 18 days of indie hell and is still alive and kicking.

What I like:
Seemingly unlimited configurations.
Lots of 1/4" 20's
Rugged construction.
Base plate that lines up with light weight or studio matte box support.
Sony hot shoe and battery compartment are clear of cage.
Locking connector for mini HDMI cable.
Panavision style eye-glass holder.

What I don't like:
It needs two hex wrenches to configure. Illya is securing these to the rig now. The unit I used was still in beta, but about 95% complete.
The locking port for the HDMI connector can fall out if you don't remember to tighten it down after you remove the cable.

An old thread. I am searching for a a7S cage in the forum and came across here. I previously brought a handheld gimbal moza lite and found they released a new product called moza cage. It is claimed to be compatible with Sony A7 and A7II series. Sounds great!:)
