A6300 best settings and lenses for continuous AF

I am planning to use the a6300 on a gimbal and would like to utilize the Af system.
I am getting the Sony Zeiss 24mm f1.8 and the sigma 30mm 1.4.

From your experience with the camera what are the best settings and which lenses work best to achieve the best results with the auto focus system.

I leave it on AF-C.
Track Sensitivity on High - seems to find things faster
AF Drive Speed on Normal - slower focus changes that seem less abrupt.

That's just me. To be safe, sensitivity normal is probably good.

Also, don't overlook the Sony 10-18 f4. I think it's really great on a gimbal with AF.

for wedding i prefer af drive slow setings

The A6300 is my first mirror less camera.

I can't figure out how to display the small green dancing focus points in movie mode while recording? Are those only visible in the photo modes ? When I press the shutter half way in movie mode I get larger green static squares.

I've got centre lock on focus tracking working well. Will try out sensitivity and drive speed settings suggested in this thread.

^ Not sure it will help, but it's a common issue with new users... Is the camera taking your aperture and shutter settings when recording video? It won't unless you dig into the menus and enable "manual video settings" or something like that. Maybe that unlocks focus peaking as well.

Yes Samuel I'm in manual video mode and iris and shutter are full controllable while recording.
Peaking in manual focus mode is also working fine.

What I don't see is the little DPAF green square that I see in the demo videos while I'm recording. I'm thinking may be those are only visible in the still shooting modes ?

From what I understand by reading on these forums, the A6300 uses an autofocus system that works considerably better with some lenses than others, even among Sony lenses. Has anyone seen a list of what the good lenses are? For people who have already purchased the camera, what lenses are you using, and how well do they work in terms of autofocus? Is anyone using the Canon 24 x 105 f4 lens either with or without the speed booster? Are you happy with the performance?

If it's like the A7RII I'd probably try turning all the drive/sensitivity settings down as low as possible as I found DPAF to be too fast for a lot of types of shots, too quick to change subjects or go to the background etc. I have an A7SII now so I kind of miss it being a bit faster but I think the sweet spot is probably A7RII/A6300 AF slowed down as much as possible...

The PZ 18-105mm, 16-50mm and the 35mm f1.8 all work well with the A6300.

I am using the Canon 24-105 with fotodix adapter and in stills mode it works just fine. I haven't used it a whole bunch in video but the few times I have its able to lock on just fine but nor really track a moving a subject.

I've tried the 70-200 f4 L IS and it doesn't track a moving object—using the Fotga adapter (Techart III doesn't work at all on the A6300).
