A6300 audio output solution

I know the A6300 can output audio via HDMI (if you use an external monitor with audio output you can hear the camera's audio), so theoretically a simple HDMI to VGA adapter with audio output could solve the headphone output issue: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1012113-REG/xcellon_hdmi_vgaa_hdmi_to_vga.html

Is it an ideal solution? No. But it's a solution nonetheless...and a cheap one at that.

I use my SmallHD 502 with the a6000 to monitor audio. Works perfect. Hopefully someone will come out with a HDMI to 3.5 audio adapter. I wonder if the camera will think it's a video output and shut the screen off.
