A working Scarlet!

why small sensor, just to keep those sales of expensve 2/3 lenbses going ?I dont get it.
Not sure why this question is still being asked everyday. Especially since there are so many topics in the AF100 forum about wider lenses and cropping. If you got shallow DOF you want to be able to go wide with a deep DOF and then if you got deeper DOF you want to go shallow. The grass is always greener ha.

One it is a cmos sensor, where as other camera's use CCD sensors made up of three chips for the red green and blue channels, CMOS does it all in one chip there are drawbacks and benefits to either technology.

The use of three chips or one has nothing to do with whether it's a CMOS or CCD sensor...they're both monochrome sensors. There are three chip CMOS cameras (sometimes known as 3MOS, clever hah) and there are single chip CCD cameras. Three chip cameras use filters and prisms while single chip cameras use pattern filters such as a bayer filter. It's completely independent of whether it uses a CCD or CMOS sensor.
