When i turn on my dvx100 there is a weird glitch/blip on the screen. it says its processing... then the screen moves up and down glitch like. it happens on both the LCD and the viewfinder. It goes for a couple seconds then it returns to normal. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it a problem or not a big deal at all?

how old is the cam? Older cams seem to take longer to start up. something to do with the electronics getting old and more resistive. The dvx 100 shouldn't say processing at all during start up. I just turned mine on and the screen go gray, it makes some noise and then flashes a few times. it then starts the normal view. This all happens in about 2 sec. If you have important shoots i would get it looked at by panny.

The flash looks like when you switch the cam from 24 frame to 30. I always shoot in 30. It does not look bad, it looks like a start up flash that's normal for the cam configuring itself. As for why it says processing, i dotn know. I have an a and i could not get it to say processing ever.

I'd get rid of the gain and image stabalizer on start up, turn them on after start up. you also have auto white ball on, maybe that need processing?

Did disabling any of those remove the processing?
