Here are some DVX grabs from my recent trip to the zoo. It was difficult keeping still after holding that thing for 2 hours. Lemme know what ya'll think.

Hey thanks... I actually have lots of shots, both long and short, this is just all that I grabbed. I was just amazed at the detail and color that I got with no special lighting and no color correction. Just thought I'd share. Oh and by the way, I was surprised by the number of people who asked me the question "What TV station are you with?" ;D

ooh, I like the first one. ;D I wish I could do Zoo shoots. The nearest one is 300 miles away and it really sucks.

Hey dude, these are really nice.
I'm taking my little cousins to the zoo this weekend and was planning on filming. Also, how close were you to the habitats? Those birds look like they might be in touching distance?
Were you using a monopod when these shots were taken?

The toucan was about 10-12 feet away. That last bird was about 8 feet away. The others were about 3-5 feet from me. we were seperated by some thin vertical wires that are out of focus in the pics. I wasn't using anything like a monopod or or other support. My hand was aching by the end of the day and it was difficult to keep the thing still. That's why some of the stills seem out of focus. It's really motion blur. Anyway, I've got some more grabs here:
