a subforum for the business side of things?

[DBP]

Anyone else interested in having a dedicated subforum for all the aspects of business? Getting clients, freelancing, growing a company etc etc..

I'm finding that info really valuable and it'd be fantastic to have a dedicated forum for it. There's been some really great posts scattered among different threads on here.

There actually used to be a section for business related stuff but I believe it got changed to "Distribution/Marketing" for some reason.

I thought about that but it seems more geared towards distribution, rather than running a business, obtaining clients, etc.

What I'm saying is, they actually did have a section for biz related stuff as you describe, but they got rid of it.

Probably, the best thing to do would be to modify the name of the marketing/distro sub-forum to be more inclusive of this. I can even add some prefixes so folks can sort for specific sub-categories within that sub-forum.

I think we did change the name at some point just b/c it seemed a little more appropriate for where we were at that time. There is even an excellent, and long-running, thread in that sub-forum I highly recommend if you haven't checked it out already:

I'd say demand for the sub-forum we already have, plus making it more inclusive to other "business" related activities would be the best bet. I don't think there is enough traffic in this category to have marketing/distro and "business" as two separate sub-forums... but, I can certainly modify the existing one to be more inclusive of what you are wanting.

Do it. One thing this website does not need is more sections.

Agreed.
