Hey guys....right now I shoot with 2 hacked gh1's and love them. I have been thinking about getting another camera (Upgrading) and I'm torn between the GH2, 7d or 5d markII. Honestly right now because I have heard great things about the GH2 and I also own quite a few Canon fd lenses, I'm leaning that way...But before I make any decisions I wanted to ask here because this is the best site for these typs of questions...Any suggestions, or which would you prefer and why? Thanks for any opinions you can give!

interesting question. my first response is go with a GH2 for two reasons:
- since you already have the other two GH cams, the setup workflow and overall aesthetic will be more uniform
- the canons all have greater propensity for moire / aliasing as well as the dreaded 12min clip length limit

HOWEVER,
- the canon line has a greater number of fast modern lenses. so it might be nice to have it as a low light "go-to" option
- if you do any professional STILL shooting, it might be nice to have a canon. as both the 7d and 5dll are vastly more able stills tools than a GH.

WGZN,
Thanks for the response...this would be for filmaking purposes only. I have a D40 for my photography...And I move even closer to another gh...

I'm in a similar position - your FD lenses & your Lumix lenses will suit the GH2 - it you shop around you can get a awesome selection of FD glass to suit. I don't think there's sufficient advantage to buy canon in our situation.

I recently purchased the AF100 partly due to lens compatability and I'll upgrade some of the GH1's to GH2's soon (now we have 25p)
