A shotgun Mic

Ah~
I just found out that DVX100A doesn't come with the mic. I thought it did. :(
Anyway, since I need a shotgun mic., what do you recommmend for DVX?
Should I get a panasonic one or Sennheiser, or Audio Technica or whatever other well known brands for mic.. which one works better?
There goes another $200. :angry:
 
What type of stuff do you plan to shoot? Maybe post the question in the audio section....I like the Senn. ME66 as a good all around shotgun mic but there are folks here who will tell you it's not "broadcast" quality><><><><><>:(
And it may be a bit out of your budget if you are looking for something in the $200 range.

Malmsteen... if budget is a serious constraint then I would consider the Rode Video Mic or the NTG-1 / NTG-2... www.rodemic.com Bang for the buck!! :thumbsup:
