I'm not sure why it took me four years to craft these two minutes. I guess when you set out to make a mood piece about time, you're subject to all sorts of irony. This is a goodbye to a friend that I will never be finished making.


I used the following equipment:

  • Panasonic DMC-GH4
  • Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95
  • SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 1.33x Anamorphic Adapter
  • CMR Blackbird Stabilizer

Thanks for the question.

The anamorphic adapter that I used (SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 1.33x) has its own focus ring that allows you to adjust between "Near" and "Normal" settings. Whenever I changed settings on the taking lens (Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95), I would often have to adjust the anamorphic adapter ring. It becomes second nature.
