A short short....

I made this the other night with my girlfriend and her ex-boyfriend. That was the real feat of this film. The second is the film itself..but i think it turned out to be quite adorable. Let me know if you think so as well. I will cut out the three-peat shot towards the end. It was an idea that I didn't realize doesn't work until just a bit ago. But otherwise let me know. I've been making short films in a day the past few days trying to teach myself how to make a narrative as I've only made a documentary before. All critisism is welcomed and appreciated.

Oh...it's in B/W since I just can't seem to understand CC. Does anyone know any way for a complete beginner to learn CC. It's incredible what I've seen people on this site do. But I'm looking for some sort of tutorial or class. I'm in NYC.

it was very interesting
I liked the beggining with the flowers
but I was sorta dissapointed with the end, because nothing actually happend.
but still I liked it

I enjoyed the shot of the girl from the top of the steps with everyone's feet in the foreground. I also really liked the timing and most of the shots.

I didn't particularly like the first shot of the boy on the bench or the shot after that with the over the shoulder shot following the girl as she passed. it seemed to interupt your flow and style. But those are just my opinions.

Overall, I liked it :)

I liked a lot of the shots. The girl in the background with the feet was my fav. The guy in the hoodie at the end was overly interested in a guy lighting a cig :-)

I liked it. I thought the best part was how many times it took him to get the lighter to light. I also liked the "Wes Anderson" zooms. Good job.

It's true...nothing really happened. I don't know how to fix it though...it just sorta happened that way (or I guess...didn't happen) as the story was made as we shot.

:dankk2:
Anyone with color correction advice....not on this obviously since there is no color but in general. A web tutorial, or a class in NYC, or a kind sould who would just want to teach me? Anything....I'm editing a feature doc that I shot in Africa but can't seem to figure out CC....

If you want to see an example of how bad a need to learn to CC watch my trailer here which is very good with very bad CC:

Well, the trailer looks great. It did look like you might have over cranked your sky, it actually looked a bit purple. But it's also hard to tell from You Tube. I'm not much of a wiz at CC either, but I don't know that I would start making everything BW!

But the content of your Witch Orphans film looks great!
