A short profile vid shot on the FS700

This was one of my first projects with the FS700. Resisted the temptation of slomo overkill :) Loved the dynamic range and how much I could push the grade compared to my canon DSLR's.

Shot using a sigma 50mm F1.4 and a Canon 17-55mm F2.8 with metabones adapter.

Graded in resolve.

Interested to hear your feedback on the edit.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I like the position of the tilta shoulder pad, looks like it would help with the balance. I'm still trying to figure out a rig for my 700.

You know what I like the most? I bokeh of your first pic of your rig. The lights from a distance look like little crystals. Which lens did you use for that pic? :)

The still cam is a 5D isn't it?

Oh can I ask you something else? When you are doing interviews with the FS700, do you find yourself often zooming all the way out with your 17 - 55mm? Or do you think that a 24 - 70mm would be more useful in your arsenal? I'm debating which zoom range would be more useful for me in interviews. Thanks.

I took that photo on a 60D with a Sigma 30mm f1.4. Think I took it at around f2.

I generally use either my Sigma 50mm f1.4 prime or my Nikkor 85mm f2 AIS prime for interviews. Lately I have been placing the camera on a slider which allows me to reframe by moving the camera closer or further away from the subject without haviing to move the tripod. When I do use the 17-55mm for interviews I generally won't go wider than 24mm, unless I'm using it as a second cam where I might open it fully to incorporate more background. Personally I prefer the versatility of the 17-55mm over the 24-70mm on a 1.5 crop but like always, it depends on what you shoot most. Hope that helps.
