GH2 A reminder of how much detail you can get out of a GH2 w/Flowmotion

I did this short shoot really just to test the colors of a Nikon 50mm f/1.4D lens I picked up recently, but the 'ol GH2 surprised me once again with how much detail it can resolve when running LPowell's Flowmotion 2.2 hack.

I didn't even really nail the focus as well as I could have because I was obviously shooting in full manual with the lens and only had "El Cheapo" little lightweight tripod.

But what came back sure was pleasing.
Nice rich light too as it was a thinly overcast sky about an hour before sundown.

EDIT: Forgot to add there is a $135 Mitakon Lens Turbo on the camera as it is my Nikon adapting method at the moment.
If there is any loss of sharpness at the edges of the frames with it - it's extremely minimal.

Thanks for the props, DPStewart. What's most gratifying to me about your sample clip is not the sharpness of detail - it is, after all, a compressed YouTube video. What stands out to my eye is how the highlights and edges of objects retain crisp, unwavering outlines while panning, with very little farkle or distortion. That's what high bitrates generously allocated to the crucial technical details can do for an H.264 codec and it's nice to see how it stands up well after further compression. I think one of the worst pitfalls of digital video is when edges of things start crawling with over-sharpened fake detail that you'd never see in real life or film. Minimizing these perceptible flaws was one of my main goals with Flow Motion v2.

For me, the only Gh2 patch worth having is Lpowell's Flowmotion 2. Works with most of my SD cards, gives a great picture, and most of all, has been super reliable. A worry-free workhorse that's been through many paying gigs without fail.

Thank you, Lpowell.
