I just finished a new video for the non-profit I work for (Global Support Mission). Anyway, we started a new program called KnowThinkAct and here's the link to the video!

Although all my other videos are shot on a DVX, this one just uses old stock footage/motion graphics. (I hope it's okay to post here...)

This is the first time I've really dug into Motion, so lemme know what you think! :)

Thanks guys.

Um... yeah... that was... AWESOME.

Very professional all the way around. EXCEPT (yes, there's always an "except"), the VO at the beginning just wasn't quite there. Everything else was spot on, and I especially liked the "3 steps" from the cartoon character.

Great work.

Oh, yeah, and what is that music?? it fits perfectly.

thanks for the kind words!

out of curiosity, what would you change with the opening voice? is it an EQ thing or the voice itself?

oh, and the music is by LCD Soundsystem. it's chopped up a bit but the song is called "Sound of Silver."

yeah...i actually edited it in 4:3, but our web designer seems to have cropped off the top... oops

Sorry... I forgot about this thread. There's an art to VO work, and you can really tell when it's an amateur attempting it, and when it's a pro actually doing it. Unfortunately with this one, it's seemed more like the amateur giving it a shot.

It's something about not speaking in your regular voice, but closer to the singing voice to really get the full effect. The phrase, "from the diaphragm", comes to mind.

It's not bad, just not quite up to par (in my opinion) with the rest of the video.
