A Musical! A Rough cut.

So, I've decided to go after one of my dreams and try and make a musical.
Not just any musical, a western musical.
A modern-day western musical.
Yep. Call me crazy, but we have a crew of three, and about 30 castmembers.
I'm going more for scope and ability to just DO it rather than thouroughly craft a life work, it shows but just to pull it off will be phenomenal for me (working student)

Our first day of shooting was today, and I was so excited, I threw together the first 40 seconds of the opening scene. Hope you like it.

Oh --- and it started out SO good!!!

I'd like to see where you are taking this. Careful of when you choose to shoot (as I'm finding out too...) big shadows kind of hurt the wide shots.

Yeah, about those shadows. Scheduling is mad-crazy with so many people, so the best we could do today was 6pm. She shot till about 8, so the light changes a lot. Thank goodness its the summertime.

But in the words of the Stones, "You can't always get what you want"

yeah that big shadow really bugs me. isnt there another parking lot somewhere with less trees around?
