I just found this about the Transvideo Starlight monitor / recorder / EVF.

Not exactly yet what I'd like to see happen but a whole lot closer than anything else to date.
How long I wonder can it be until we will be able to record full HD, ( or even 4K like with the internal recording on the Panasonic GH4 ), to SDHC slot in a EVF ?
Of course coming from Transvideo it's on the expensive side, but then not really……Their products have always been of the highest quality so you get what you pay for.
I still have a couple of their small on-camera monitors that I use on the Aaton's for viewing the video tap feed.
Now, downsize this even further and make it a real useful EVF / recorder. It will be great to have a recorder / EVF option to the large screens on the CD 7Q and the Atomos Shogun….both great pieces of kit, but large lumps to mount and carry on a camera.
