a loose part sound coming from dvx100A

I just received my dvx100A today and imediately deboxed it. As soon as I had it out of the box and tilted it, it made a loose, clicking part sound. When I powered it up it totally went away and worked fine. Then when I powered it down the loose part sound came back. Just wondering if this is common among the 100's and or the 100A's. Any information would be great. ??? Thanks

Do not worry.

"hundreds" of times posted here. This is the OIS (optic stabilizer) moving internally when power is OFF. Once with power ON, the noise dissapears.

Is even written in the manual.

Be happy.

OH GREAT, NOW YOU TELL ME!

I just got mine a few days ago as well. Heard the noise and decided to find out what it was. Found this little loose part inside the camera lens and used some super glue to stick it back where it seemed to come from.

Do you think I hurt anything???

If so, now what will I do????

Re: a loose part sound coming from dvx100A

I had back surgery about 6 months ago and when my doctor came in my room a few hours after the surgery he asked how I was and if I felt a lump in my back. Of course I did and told him so, then he showed me his wedding ring finger without a ring on it, just a white circle where the ring was...

I remember distinctly while looking into his expressionless, slate gray eyes saying those same words -- "Your kidding right?"

;D ;D ;D ;D
