Okay, ive been around the board and keep getting varying answers to these questions. Are there difinitive solutions for these issues?
I have a DVX100B
Questions:
1 (A) When shooting and running from tape to my tv to review, i notice the vertical lines and some horizontals waver noticeably. It looks very digital and very annoying. How do I stop this from happening. I have sort of gotten around the shimmering whites, but that is also occasionally a problem too.
1 (B) Again when looking at footage on a widescreen plasma screen, i notice that there is a lot of noise in some of the areas with darks and shadow (mainly on indoor footage). The light is okay and it isn't a 'dark' shot by any means. Can I reduce noise? I already cranked up detail coring to +7 and put up the master pedestal as well.
2) Editing a 24pa in 23.98 or 24 fps timeline in FCP 5? Does it really make a difference to anything? Drawbacks, benefits?
3) Sound can only be mono with an external mic connected to XLR 2? Can't get stereo? If i connect the mic to XLR1 and have the camera mic operational as well, will that help get ambience?
