I knew we got in but I had no clue we were up for one of the prizes. How very cool! I will be there at the screening with the baby :)

Barry, David...thank you for entering it. When I heard I was excited and needed good news! Jack thanks for letting me part of this again...I really am so proud to have been part of the team. If you guys need me for anything...I am here. Even is it means being stunt knees for Shaun the next go round! :)
 
A little bit of trivia for you sci-fi fans out there -- one of the judges for the final prize is Peter Jurasik, Londo Mollari from Babylon 5. He's a local resident and big supporter of local film.

Very kool, though I have to say Cmdr. Susan Ivanova (Claudia Christian) was my favorite on the show.
 
Congrats to A Little Mouth to Feed for winning the Horror category at CFIFF! Just left the awards ceremony where there was a very proud actress . . . :)
 
Lookit THESE guys. Winning Awards and stuff. My jealousy meter just went up a few notches.

Can we be surprised? ALMTF is frickin awesome. Great job guys, it's great to see people get some recognition for a job very well done.

Another notch on Jack's ever lengthening belt.
 
The other entries were before ours, and I thought "oh man... that was really good." But the audience reaction to LMTF was awesome, they totally got into it and the applause was massive. We did a little Q&A session afterwards for all the filmmakers in attendance, there were three films represented (LMTF and two others), and the crowd directed probably 2/3 of the questions at LMTF. I guess that was a good sign... :thumbsup:

Yeah I am intersted to hear more about the audience reactions from Barry and David at some point. Would have been cool to be there.

Of course now we have to launch the full festival assault.

Barry...I admit feeling a little bad for the other filmmakers since we seemed to get the most questions. And you dear man made me sound like the best actress in the world. It did my ego a lot of good without getting me big headed!

Thank you for that Barry...and Jack for the original comment you mentioned (Jack you said it when I auditioned if you remember your comment to them about my reading).

Jack...I tried to watch people and it was kind of funny. There was a guy sitting behind me and when the midwife gets dragged off I was peeking over my shoulder to see how people would react and I kept noticing this guy kind of looking up at the screen and then looking at my profile and back up again. When we were done and outside that guy walked up to me going "it WAS you". Plus, during the screening itself I heard more than one person do a little gasp and say "that IS Michele".

So, we all did a great job with the illusion. Between me having no make up on and Macs camera shots and the lighting and direction....people did not catch on that it was even me at the start.

One of the judges walked up to me later and said "I knew you were good but I did not know you were that good" and he had directed me in a stage show two years ago and also mentioned that he did not figure out it was me until half way in to the film!!!

Bonus all the way around. We not only had a good film we managed to get them so lost in the characters that they did not notice the actors! How cool is that...

Jack..I am saying it again...you need me for anything...I am there...same for Barry and David and Shaun and all the LMTF cast and crew. If ever you need me for anything...even behind the scenes...I am in your corners all the way.

For anyone reading this...I know I am gushing some but I have been so proud to be part of this from the start and this Award at CFIFN just proves I was right about this dream team all along!!!

YOU ALL ROCK!!!

Reason being Barry and / or David snuck the actual physical trophy from the Cape Fear fest into the box.

Yes there's actually a physical trophy, which is cool, I think the first since I was 17 :)
