I don't have a stationary interview chair, I am roving person to person at a minority student leadership conference. I can pull people aside to a quieter spot, but mostly there will be some background noise. I will also shoot some speakers at lecturns.
I am wanting to upgrade from a cheap Audio-Technica omi-directional and want to use the Oktava with a wind screen camera mounted for flexibility and speed.
Will I be disappointed with a Okatava in this situation?
maybe, its not really built for high noise, cam mounted use, you're probably actually better with a shotgun for the use you're describing. why not just get an re50 or sen md46 stick interview mic to give them? that will give you great, political sounding audio...
Just want to say most helpful thread ive read. Ive researched a lot about sound, know everything about freq, shotguns, cardroid/hyper, yada yada, just not brands or types of mics, shockmounts, boompoles, etc. Wish I searched and found this sooner, save me a few stupid threads and questions asked =( *slaps self to remember to search better*
