ok well i have avid mc and an hvx 200 ap and i am needing help importing tape footage into avid. when i set up the deck in avid there is no selection for my camera?
a little help importing tpe?

You are referring to CAPTURING correct? Import in an Avid is for electronic files, audio, etc.
Capture brings tape into the MC via firewire or component/composite or y/c. Assuming, your deck/camera is configured correctly to capture from it and you have installed the P2 drivers on your MC's computer (not sure if that even makes a difference since you've got tape). Should be as easy as a firewire connection, Choose CAPTURE from the TOOLS menu, choosing 1394 mode, then rocking (you may want to do an AUTOCONFIGURE from the CAPTURE drop down list).
