A LETUS35 sample with Original dvx100

Hey... I've got pretty much the same setup I think...
Original DVX100 and the Letus35 Flip Enhanced. I'm having a blast using this thing and the footage is coming out amazing. I also go to Long Beach State and am in the film major... Maybe we have classes together! ha...

What lenses do you have and what did you use for this? Did you mean to chop the heads off in most of the shots? (focusing on the drummer i suppose)
I've got a bunch of footage now but I can't do much with it because of finals week and all...
Here's my first test the night i got it right out of the box

sorry about the compression...i dont know whats up.

When you output interlaced footage to quicktime..... Deinterlace it first. its nearly unwatchable. I can tell the origional footage is good though.

I will definately re export as i didnt even think about it and i used the export setting for full rez 24pa, as this was shot in 24p (30fps type).

It's probably due to the way i am editing as well, i didnt capture at full rez because i am doing an offline edit (its faster on my powerbook).

Hey by any chance were you shooting over by the library today with your DVX fitted with a matte box? If so, I saw you. Probably a long shot, but you never know.

Nope, no matte box for me. So it must have been someone else Bryant.

TimurCivan,
Offline editing is when you compose your edit on the computer with lower resolution media. It allows me to render anything i do faster because the footage i am working with is not as big. Many people do this when editing HD footage. They will do an offline edit using captured SD versions of the footage. When they are finished with their final cut, they will then do an online edit. This involves recapturing footage in the native resolution, i.e. HD. Then it does everything in the native resolution in one final render, and then you have your final project!
