You guys. I was shocked when my co-writer for my most recent short film, The Reunion called me and told me he just received a letter from Mr. Tom Hanks. In the letter he said he enjoyed the movie, and get this.... Mr. Hanks left us his business card in the envelope. That is way too cool!!!  8) I didn't even know my co-writer had mailed him a copy. I just thought it would be appropiate to share this good news with my buddies at dvxuser.com! Here is a link to learn more about the project. http://imdb.com/title/tt0420122/

Have a great day everyone,

Kris

Maybe it'll be the next Big Fat Greek Wedding.  Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson produced that film after she saw the play.

Re: A Letter From Tom Hanks... OMG!!!

WOW, Cool. Like Tarantino, Harvey Keitel and Reservoir Dogs...run with it!!

Inside Tom Hanks' brain:  Jeez, fella. Those last coupla films... Straight up?  They stunk. I mean, the Coens, Stevie... who coulda known, right?  Need a new direction here.  Something... What the H-E-double-hockey-sticks was that on the birthday card Jobsy sent over with the PowerBook?... Think Different!  Gosh, a bit of a loon that guy, but what an effing genius! Hmmmm... A date movie, but with the 'ol Hanks touch. We still hold sequel rights on MBFGW, don't we?  How's 'bout a Reservoir Dogs meets My Big Fat Greek Funeral kinda thing?  Over-the-top pseudo-intellectual blood 'n gore for the dudes, sappy-but-chic homespun fun for the dudettes.  Hey, ya still got the stuff, Tommy boy.  I like it!!!

How did he get toms address? Did he just send it to his house!? Is this normal business practice or what???

Re: A Letter From Tom Hanks... OMG!!!

;D The way he got the address was not professional. It was a "Guerrilla Film Tactic." But hey it worked!  8) He made me swear I would never tell anyone how he got it. So, sorry fellas, my lips are sealed. I made an oath to my friend and "IIII'llll Neeeevvverrr Teeell."   :-X  ;D I'll see if I can scan the letter for everyone to see.

Also! The film itself will be up online in a few days thanks to Jud.

Have a great day,

Kris

PS. I think I over did it with the smileys... But what the hell I'll roll with it.  ::)
