A humble horror short shot on the DVX

Hmmm...Couldn't keep my interest as I don't speak the language it is shot in. It also seemed really dark. What'd you use for lighting?

ohhhh, Slimothy, you posted to a horror movie thread and that was your post #666. *creepy*

I also thought it was dark, but figured it was mostly my monitor. I didnt actually mind the language thing. I could pick out some words here and there. If it wasnt so dark, it would be great. I liked the audio alot and it seemed like their framing was good.

Didn't notice that!!! Hopefully it will mean I will have good luck w/ the next horror film I do. Now I HAVE to enter the zombiefest this month.

But I do agree w/ Thartley, the audio was better than what we usually see.

It's already down... Could you put it in another host? I can understand a little spanish, so I'm still interested...

I'm sorry the dialogs are not in English but there're very few really and you can understand by just seeing the image.

I wanted to keep a dark misterious look and used very little light. In the clearest scenes I bounced a light on the ceiling (I was after a natural atmosphere) and in the dark ones I used the existing sources and filled the shadows with some soft light.

In a few days my hosting account will be renewed and whoever wants to download the short will be able to do it.

I'll tell you when you can download

Thank you for having a look a it!!

You may start downloading again.

In my next short I'll try to spread more light into the darkest areas.

I think the dark areas have no noise... When I watch these images on a TV set I don't see any noise what could be curious.

Thank you guys,

I get an error message: "You cannot currently access these files. Contact the owner of these files for more information."

Also, if it's not too much trouble, could you at least post a script or put subtitles on it? I know there are a few bits of dialogue, but it still helps to know what the characters are saying. :)

When that message appears it means that all the available downloads have been done. Then I have to renew my account.

When I uploaded the short to my host I didn't mean to share it in an English spoken forum and so I didn't put subtitles.

The few pieces of dialog are the following ones:

The old woman in bed is calling Raul.

She: "Raul I have a backache. I've been in this stand for long. I'm fed up with all day standing like this. I don't feel well at all. I think those pills I'm having are useless to me I won't have any more...

He: "I'm going to bring you supper"

She: "I don't want to eat anything"

When Raul leaves the bedroom the old woman says (thinking of the portrait beside the bed)

She: "Daughter, how could you marry him? Why have you left me? I miss you"

Later, when Raul is sitting in an armchair and sees the hand on the clock he cries:

He: "Stop, Stop"

Later, when Raul is driving his car at night the woman in the mirror says:

She: "Raul why did you hurt me?"

He: "****ed old woman. Let me stay in peace.

She: "Raul why did you hurt me?"

He: "¡Get out. Get out from here!"

An when Raul is digging after seing the woman for the first time he says:

He: "¡You're dead. You're dead!

This is all the say.

I'm sorry I didn't put subtitles but I didn't mean to put the short here.

Thank you for watching the short and for your opinions about it. :)
